Do we know around what time we aim to hit the highway on Friday for Newbie/fewbies drives?
The trip starts at 8am on Thursday, the meeting point & coordinates will be announced soon. See you in Liwa!

Depends on convoy performance. I would say between 1530 and 1730 hrs

Would anyone in the Newbie, Fewbie, Intermediate crew want to camp the extra night and leave the next morning (Saturday)? Considering staying down there in an easy-to-reach spot within the dunes.

Greetings Brave Liwa adventurers!!

Most of you have been seeking more details about this trip, so please find below all you need to know:

We will have two groups for this trip:
Group A consisting of Newbie and Fewbie
Group B consisting of Intermediate and Advanced
Each group will have the necessary number of Marshalls and Deputies to lead and support the drive. The two groups will have different meeting points, tracks, and camp spots. We would have loved to gather all together for the camps at night but given that this is an all level drive we need to match the terrain with the level of the convoys which obliges us to have 2 different groups.

Group A (Newbie + Fewbie):
Meeting point: Adnoc station on E65 https://goo.gl/maps/Qihi7z6AVvr
Meeting time: Thursday 8AM
Drive ends on Friday at 5pm
Marshalls and Deputies: Sebastien, Martin, Sahil

Group B (Intermediate+Advance):
Meeting point: Adnoc station on E90 https://goo.gl/maps/ZX2J63vnPP52
Meeting time: Thursday 8.30AM
Drive ends on Friday at 5pm for Intermediate. Advanced will continue for 1 extra night.
Marshalls and Deputies: Faheem, Asim, Asem, John, Alex, Jatin

Notes:
- You are allowed to downgrade your level if you wish to take it easy on yourself and on your car. Liwa is merciful, always consider that you are driving at one level plus.
- You are not allowed to upgrade or sneak into the higher level. You will be rejected and asked to go back to the lower level, hopefully you will be able to reach on time before the convoy leaves.
- Your car needs to be in perfect condition. Take it for a safety sanity check in the next two days if you still haven't. Don't take risks. Better safe than sorry. You don't want to get stuck in the middle of the desert during a national holiday.
- Bring all the required food, equipment, recovery tools, wood, lighting, sleeping bags, bbq items...
- Carry extra fuel. 60 liters would put you in the safe spot.

John, can you pls clarify the convoys - you said convoy A is newbie+fewbie, and convoy B inter+advanced, but meeting points are for newbie+fewbie (convoy A) and fewbie+inter (convoy B).
Are advanced drivers in separate (3rd) convoy?
And which convoy is 2 days 1 night?

Sorry for so many questions, and thanks for clarification :D

But can you pls clarify which convoy stays for 2 days/1 night, and which for 3 days/2 nights?
Do we have to join newbie+fewbie convoy if we plan to stay for just 1 night?

Thank you Faheem!
I have just one last question - is newbie/fewbie convoy staying together during the drives, or there will be two separate convoys?
Sorry for bothering, I’m trying to decide which convoy to join (I wish there’s a fewbie/inter option, it would make things so much easier :( )
