It was a fantastic midweek drive and great weather to be out in the desert serenity minus the usual weekend traffic.

Faheem and I met at the Emirates Petroleum in Lahbab and reached Badayer together. After a little while, we met Zakariya who had come there with his friend for a drive by themselves. Unfortunately, his friend had to leave due to an emergency so Zakariya was happy to meet us and venture out into the sands. Humayun soon arrived and we deflated and were ready to hit the sands when we were approached by a young Emirati boy in his Wrangler who asked us for help as his friend's pick-up was stuck in the sands. After doing our good deed for the day, we got news that Saif has also reached Badayer and so we headed back to meet him.

It was pretty straight forward after that. We touched Iftar Bowl, Area 53, Super Bowl and Ghost Town and exited near Madam. High dunes, small dunes, soft sand, side sloping, crest-cutting and generally having fun. All was done at a good pace.

No stucks, no pop-outs, a few second attempts and the breaks we took were to only chill out a bit. The last part of the drive from Super Bowl to Ghost Town was practically a night drive.

Thank you Humayun for an Xmas surprise and thank you Saif for keeping an eye on us. :thanks:
